Both Cameron and Renee learned how to ride their bikes by riding them down grassy hills to find their balance. Emma has not been able to do this because she has a severe allergy to fire ants. If she were to fall in the grass and get just one fire ant sting, she could end up in the ER, or worse. She has been reluctant to learn how to ride on the road or sidewalk for fear of getting road rash. So, she has been using training wheels far longer than she has wanted to. Then this Friday she decided she wanted to learn how to ride without them. Thirty minutes later she was riding her bike. One would never know she was a late bloomer!
